The Gulf Is Rising. Get on Board.

Through this series, we honor the lives and experiences of the Gulf Coast’s front lines and their collective rise.

These stories are the heart of our land; these people are the soul of the Gulf.

Louisiana Fishermen Need Help.

This Lake Charles port has become one of the top 10 busiest ports in the United States. This means that the frequency with which oil and LNG tankers are moving through a once-serene oyster patch is ever-increasing. The oyster fishermen have been reduced to using a single, vulnerable dock, where their boats, are damaged and even sunk by the wakes of these giant vessels.

Because there is no protection for our local Louisiana fisheries, we are taking donations straight from the public. Join us today in supporting Louisiana fishermen, and donating to ensure their continued ability to oyster in Southwestern Louisiana.

POISON IN THE WELL 001

Our show launches with an interview with Ms. Debra Ramirez, a 40 year climate activist out of Mossville, Louisiana. An elder in the climate activism community, Ms. Debra details her life experience growing up in Mossville, and fighting for environmental justice.

THE WELCOME TABLE IN GASLAND 002

Next, we sit with award-winning documentary filmmaker, Josh Fox, to discuss fracking in Louisiana, The Welcome Table being built, and Enbracing our Emergency.
